Le dernière révision a été effectuée en 1999 aboutissant aux Incoterms 2000.
Cette révision a été imposée en raison du développement des transactions commerciales « sans papier ». Il a fallu rendre compatibles les Incoterms avec l’Échange de Données Informatiques (EDI).
