First, the word « fast » is pointing out the fact that we live in a society where everything are fast: The transportation, the work, and also the human relation through the meeting chats. So, the Fast food is very anchored in this modern society.
Secondly, the Fast Food answers at an increasing demand of a food prepared quickly which stop the hungry sensation.
In addition, the principal reason for this McDonalds generation is its low price. The children’s overweight is often the result of the education gave by the parents and McDonalds know it: A « children’s menu » has been invented for increase its customer. This menu is accompanied by a little game which make children want to go there again. So, If parents bring their child to a fast food when he’s very young, he will be curious and he will go there again and again. When he will be an adolescent, he will still go there because of his pocket money which won’t be enough to eat in a real restaurant.
So, the Childhood Obesity is a very big and social problem which is boosted today because of the economic crisis: Indeed, people have less money so they search a place where they can eat in family, for a low price.
